On Thursday evening Gunmen stormed a village in kaura local government area of kaduna State, burned down houses and leaving five (5) villagers dead in the cause.
The Interim Management committee chairman of the local government, Mr Bege Katuka told News Agency of Nigeria, on Friday, in kafanchan that the Unknown men stormed that village about 4:00p.m. In the cause of the Gunmen's action a number of houses, which includes the new Police Outpost were vandalised and burnt.
While the investigation was ongoing he urge the people of the community to put their minds at rest and have full confidence the security agents. Kaduna state Police Command Public Relation Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo, confirmed the incident and said it occurred in Kiri Village boardering Plateau. One Daniel Monday who initially sustained injuries later died while four other corspe were discovered.
The Police Area Commander in Kafanchan led a troop of the policemen to the affected area, the hoodlums on the sight took to their hills to the hilltop near Ryom Local Government in Plateau State, moreover investigation is still in progress.
