A federal lawmaker of House of Representative for Ohaji/Egbema, oguta and Oru west Federal Constituency of Imo State, Uju Kingsley Chima was reported to court in Lagos by A businesswoman, Nkeiruka Kamalu that she was raped on August 09,2015. In a long run Mrs Cynthia Nkeiruka told Justice Nicholas that due to the incestuous relationship with the law maker, Chima whom offered to pay her N20 million naira if she was divorced by her husband, Mr Gabriel Igbibi.
Mrs Nkeiruka kamalu asked for protection from chima who caused her to be arrested, humiliated, tortured and detained for seven days by the Special Robbery Squad [SARS] and was charge a amount of N40 Billion.
Justice Oweibo adjourned till yesterday to rule on whether to allow substituted service.
Monday, the court did not sit.
When The Nation phoned Chima on Saturday evening for his reaction to the rape and N20m allegations, he said “I’m inside a court now, can we talk later? I’m inside a court.”
Later that night and Monday, his number rang out.
In her August 22, 2019 Affidavit of Urgency, Kamalu said she filed the suit due to the “intimidation, mounting surveillance and or illegal oral invitation threat of life and annihilation of property.”
She said she had been living “in perpetual fear” of being further detained “indefinitely.”
Kamalu is seeking several reliefs including a declaration that her arrest and detention “by the respondent at the State CID Police Headquarters, Owerri, Imo State (SARS) for seven days was unconstitutional.”
Others include a declaration that her invitation by the police for another investigation while the case has been adjourned sine die at the Chief Magistrate Court, Owerri, violates her rights.
She also wants an order restraining the Respondents, from further arresting, pursuing and intimidating her.
“An order directing the 1st 2nd, 4th to 6th Respondents to release forthwith her Infinix Note 7 and lnfinix Note 8 illegally seized by the Respondents during the arrest and torture in Lagos.
“An order awarding damage in the sum of N50 Million to the Applicant for the unlawful arrest, torture, unlawful detention, insult, disgrace, intimidation and the embarrassing treatment meted out on the Applicant.”
In her August 22, 2019 Affidavit in support of her application, Kamalu averred that she and Chima began dating in 1993 while she was in secondary school.
“We dated for 10 years, after which he proposed marriage and we both agreed to settle down as husband and wife. Unfortunately, our parents kicked against our relationship on the ground that we are biologically related and that we were committing incest and could not get married, so I married another man called Gabriel Igbibi,” she said.
The applicant said she reconnected with the lawmaker when she needed assistance to execute a contract she secured and that after she refused his advances, “he raped me.”
“I lodged the case first at New Owerri Police Station wherein he influenced it and I wrote a Petition to the Inspector-General of Police, Force State Quarters, Abuja. The petition was assigned to Zone 9 Police Command, Umuahia, Abia State.
“The 1st Respondent settled the police and they brokered peace between the 1st Respondent and me, wherein he promised to take proper care of me because he cannot withdraw himself from me.
She said following their reconciliation, they resumed their incestuous relationship “fully again”.
Kamalu added: “My husband got wind of the relationship between the 1st respondent and myself,” following which he filed for divorce.
When she informed Chima he allegedly gave her money to hire a lawyer for the case.
“The 1st Respondent promised that if the divorce succeeds, he will be giving me N20 million every six months and also buy me a property in any designated place in Lagos.
“The marriage was dissolved at the Ikeja High Court, Lagos. After the divorce, the 1st Respondent told me that before he will take the relationship serious, I will have to bear a child for him.”
According to her, she took in for him, but had a miscarriage. He then asked her to adopt a baby which would be his and claim that the baby was born in Canada, but that the baby also died.
She further claimed that he made her swear to an oath of loyalty, but she eventually caught him with another woman.
“I became infuriated and he became furious and warned me never to visit him again, that he is no longer interested in the relationship. I reminded him of the oath he forced me to take that no man must have any relationship with me again and the promise to be giving N20m every six months, buy me a property in a choice area, buy a brand new car every six months, which he had never fulfilled.
“I told him that I would tell the whole world how he has ruined my life and deceived me out of my marriage where I had four children.”
She told the court that this was why the lawmaker used the police to arrest her on May 27, 2019 and detained for seven days.

I resigned from oil firm into Acting Career - Etinosa Idemudia

An intervew with Etinosa Idemuda who hails Feom delta state launches her career on acting. Here are the interview;
WHAT have you been up to?
I just concluded principal photography for my latest movie titled ‘Game Up’. It’s a crime, romance, drama movie. Right now, it’s in the studio in the post production stage and by God’s grace it should be released shortly. While ‘Game Up’ is in the studio, I’m also working on another movie we are still in the script writing stage but hopefully by next month I should hit location again to start filming.
What other project are you working on?
Aside from ‘Game Up’, I’ve also gone on international tours to see my fans outside Nigeria, hosting events in and outside Nigeria which is something I really love to do and also not forgetting brand influencing, advents and just being my humble self. However, currently I am working on another project. I haven’t concluded what the title will be but it’s still in the script writing stage and the plan is to shoot a movie outside Nigeria and in Nigeria. It’s a movie about Nigerians travelling out to look for greener pastures and what exactly defines outside the shores of this country. It’s a very amazing drama that I can’t wait to start filming shortly that would be in October when I travel.
How would you describe your journey into Nollywood?
My journey into Hollywood has been nothing but grace. First of all, everybody’s journey is unique, everybody’s journey is different. So, mine has not been completely smooth. Of course, nothing is perfect but it has been rewarding, it has been challenging, it has been motivating and I can only say that I am grateful to God for all the good things that have come my way. For the challenges, the battles and the triumph that I keep getting daily as I grow. I am also very grateful about the people that I have met in Nollywood along my journey – the producers, the marketers, the distributors, the exhibitors and most importantly the fans. My journey to Nollywood has been a success because of these people who believe in me, who love me, who support me, who watch my skits in YouTube, people who talk about me, both good and bad. My journey wouldn’t have been this successful without these people.
What has been you biggest decision ever?
For now, I will say one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make was to turn my back on oil and gas industry where I worked for three years as a planning engineer for oil and gas construction projects. I know it was a very juicy job. I enjoyed my stay there, my company was amazing. They treated me so well. Funny enough, I had a time allowance to practice acting because they knew I wanted to practice being an actor.
They knew I wanted to switch professions and as valuable I was in that company, they came to a compromise that ‘we don’t want you to go. What if we give you like two days in a week, so you can go and act and come back?’ But I told them it’s not that easy. You can’t tell which time movie projects are going to come up. And sometimes, if you are the lead, you can’t say you are going to shoot just for two days and go back to your work if you really want to be successful in acting. In the movie industry, you can’t be part-time. It was a very emotional decision for me because getting into the movie industry when you don’t have a face, you don’t even have experience, nothing is ever easy at the beginning. So, starting from the scratch was a very big challenge for me and that was one of the boldest steps I’ve had to take – relocating to Lagos State where I had no house, I had no solid friends, I had no relatives. I was such a bold girl, packing my bags one day and said, ‘you know, what let’s do this!’
Were there fears of not attaining your set goals?
Of course there were fears. Everybody has this moment of second guessing at some point where things are not going smoothly as planned. But one thing I am lucky about is that I did not have big expectations from the beginning, so my disappointments were never ever very serious enough to turn me back. So I knew I had to work. I knew it would take time, it wasn’t going to me immediate. The times of success that encouraged me to say, ‘oh wow! I’m in the right place’ were more than the times of failure to make me think like I may not achieve but definitely along the line I had demonic whispers like e be like say you don mess up o. But quitting wasn’t an option because I knew my parents were waiting for me to say ‘mummy, daddy I made a mistake’, so I said never and I kept pushing and pushing and I am still pushing anyway.

What do you love most about being an actress?
I can become anything I want to be. My mind has the opportunity to run wild and create different characters. Today, I could be a nursing mother, next tomorrow a doctor, three days later I’m playing a role that I am probably an engineer or a witch or a criminal. The fact that I get to live different people’s lives and experience different people’s character without changing my own real life. That’s dope.
How do you easily switch from your normal self to a character?
It’s by focusing. The mind is one of the most important tools of every actor and my ability to programme my mind to become the character is how I switch from my normal self to the character by believing who I now am, which is the character. It’s only done through the mind.
Who has been your greatest supporter of your craft and how?
My greatest supporters would be my parents. They’ve been my strongest support system ever. My parents, my family they’ve just been too good. When I was still upcoming and nobody cared to pay me for work, I had my money from my last job but there’s something about money and not having a strong source of income at some point you start getting broke and unsure of your new decision. My parents were always there to always send me money and send me encouragement even though they didn’t approve. But somehow they just didn’t want to make me feel bad, so they were there for me and then when things started getting better in the industry of course they were there to celebrate me as well. Even when scandals came you know you expect your parents to join the public and condemn you but my parents were always there by my side and that makes me want to do better. That makes me always want to make dem proud.
You are now referred to as a controversial actress due to your live video with Mc Galaxy. Some people are of the opinion that you were drunk and all that happened was a stunt to gain more fans…
The video has only come to create a very big platform for me to express myself, to show my talent, to show my craft, to create more art and entertain more people. It was a seeming obstacle that turned into a stepping stone. So, I wouldn’t say it has caused me anything bad or it has reduced me or taken me backwards. No, I would say that every disappointment is a blessing in this case. So it has given me a very big platform.
It seems you have a flair for music. Will you be giving it a try someday?
I’m very shocked that you know about my flair for music. I love music so much. I don’t know. I probably will be giving it a try someday. I think so.
In the course of your job, have you ever gotten lost in a movie role? Maybe while playing a romantic role you eventually caught feelings…
In the course of my job, yes. I can recall one time when I bonded with my male counterpart in such a beautiful way that it became almost real, so the chemistry on screen and off screen was really strong. But immediately after we wrapped production, everybody went their separate ways.
Some actors have said they choose who to kiss in movies. Do you also do that and why?
Well, I don’t know much about choosing who to kiss or who not to kiss but when you become a new character you have to live the life of that character and if that character has to kiss someone then as a professional it shouldn’t be a problem.

Why crazy pains on period??

Wo_healths

Periods are the bane of a woman’s existence and that’s when they act like they’re supposed to. When they start acting crazy, they move from bane to making us insane! So if you’re period is acting weird, these’re some reasons it could be off. And while it’s good to read up on the subject, always let your doctor know when something’s up with your cycle.

1.YOU’RE STRESSED

Stress can do more to our bodies than we realize. One of the simplest issues it can cause is to make your period go MIA. It’s frustrating and definitely aggravating but it happens. It’s one of your body’s ways of telling you to chill out and change the stressful conditions in your life. Anytime you don’t have a period you should always take a pregnancy test if that’s a possibility.

2.YOUR HORMONE LEVELS ARE OFF

Women are hormonal creatures. Our hormones play a huge role in our cycles, our emotions, our appetite and more. When they aren’t exactly where they should be, your period is going to be affected. It could be shorter or longer than usual. It could even disappear completely. Anytime your period is off for more than one cycle, call your doctor.

3.YOUR WEIGHT HAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME

Weight gain and weight loss aren’t always a problem for your period. The problem comes in when your weight changes drastically during a short period of time. A drastic change is hard on your body, especially your reproductive system. Gradual weight loss is always the preferred method. Not only is it healthier but you have a much better chance of keeping it off.

4.SOMETHING MEDICAL IS GOING ON

There’s always the chance something medical is going on when your period is acting crazy. There’re many medical conditions that can affect your menstrual cycle. Two problems that can directly affect your period are Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis. Both are treatable so it’s important to reach out to your doctor if you suspect either condition. Believe it or not, I’ve had both of those medical conditions and my period was greatly affected by them.

5.YOU’RE GOING ON OR COMING OFF THE PILL

Birth control is a medication that’s not only used to prevent pregnancy but also to treat other medical conditions. And while it can regulate your period and make it much more normal, that’s not the case when you’re first going on or coming off of it. It takes your body a bit to adjust to having it in your system or not having it in your system. This usually straightens out in a month or two, though. It’s one of the easiest weird period things to deal with.

6.OTHER MEDS ARE MESSING WITH YOU

Other meds can make your period weird out besides birth control. I can’t name them all since my knowledge is limited on the subject but I do know it can happen. One medication that can mess with your period is steroids. Because I’m an asthmatic, I sometimes have to take steroids. My period almost always gets crazy in the cycle following that.

7.YOU’RE PREGGO

And the last reason your period may be going crazy is because you’re pregnant! Yes, your period should stop when you’re pregnant but it’s not unheard of to have one shorter, lightee period after conception. Anytime your period acts off and there’s a chance of pregnancy, take the test. You need to know so you can start taking special care of yourself if that’s the case.
These’re 7 reasons your period may be acting crazy. Could any of these be going on with you? You’re welcome to share your thoughts and comments.

I Give You 7-days To leave - Yoruba Youth says to South Africans

In accordance to the Xenophobic attack in South Africa, Nigerians has an alarm strict warning to all south African investors seven days to leave Nigeria.
The group gave the warning while reacting to news of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and their investments in South Africa.
President of the OYC, Oluyi Tayo, in a statement on Tuesday in Akure, Ondo State, said they would attack all South African businesses in the country at the expiration of the ultimatum.
Tayo said, “Oodua Youth Coalition is saddened and angered that South Africans, supported by the country’s authorities, is coordinating the looting and burning of Nigerian businesses and maiming and killing of our brothers and fathers in their land.
“It is unfortunate that South Africa, who under the apartheid regime had the support and solidarity of Nigerians and the government, are now turning around to inflict physical and psychological pains and injuries on our citizens.
“We have condoned the excesses of these South Africans whose businesses have been thriving in Nigeria without any form of physical and psychological attack.
“OYC has concluded plans to as a matter of urgency, attack all South African businesses and facilities spread across Nigeria especially in the South west region of the country.
“We therefore give these South African businesses a maximum of seven days to leave Nigeria or we will attack and burn them down.”

Buhari said he will not be part of EFFC operation

President Muhammad Buhari made a stong  promise to EFCC  that he will never be part of the plan to fight against Corruption in Nigeria.

The president made the pledge on Saturday, August 31 at the graduation of 328 cadets of the Detective Superintendent Course 8 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kaduna state.
Although,  The prisendent made it clear we shoul join him to fight  against corruption and criminality in his administration, to make rhe country a better place.

Meanwhile, more details have emerged on why the EFCC is investigating some of the financial dealings of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode during his tenure as Lagos state chief executive.
According a recent media report, Ambode is being investigated for several deals ranging from unilateral award of over-inflated contracts, cooking the books of the state and approving
many opaque deals that did not go through due process.
There are also allegations of the state’s commonwealth being diverted to private accounts in countries like Seychelles and Mauritius while the former governor was in charge.

His words: “Corruption is what is holding Nigeria’s development over the years. The overall public opinion is that corruption fuels terrorism, kidnappings, banditry, political violence which consequently denied millions of Nigerians access to good life, good health and a sound education.
“My charge to you today is to imbibe the culture of integrity, selflessness, patriotism and professionalism which NDA and EFCC are known for.
“With the political will of my administration in the last four years and the courage of EFCC chairman Ibrahim Magu, it’s possible to have a society where corruption is reduced.
“It’s my hope that you will join us in taking corruption and criminality out of governance so that our nation will be prosperous and safer for future generation.”
